Provalve-1600 – a precision machine designed for machining cylinder heads of any dimensions and with any valve seat angles.
Currently, it is not only one of the most powerful universal machines among all machines of this type, which performs precise mechanical machining of valve seats from the smallest to the largest diameter and one of the most precise and fast machines of this type, but also one of the most affordable.
In other words, the machine is completely unattainable for competitors both in terms of the maximum “quality/price” ratio and simply in terms of price availability, where many Chinese machines cannot match it.
This has been achieved through the use of the most advanced design and production technologies, thanks to which the machine has obtained the most advanced technological solutions, enabling the most efficient machining of valve seats and guides of all types of cylinder heads.
In this type of machines, a multi-angle cutter is used, which simultaneously machines all valve seat angles with the required width and angular precision (any blade profile can be used), an installed vacuum testing system allows to immediately check the quality of the work done after machining. In addition, the machine is equipped with a fully automatic centering system with touch control, which increases the precision of seat machining and significantly reduces machining time. But that’s not all…
Indeed, the MAIN ADVANTAGE of this machine is its ease of use. Just point the controller to the valve guide and press only one button on the screen – the rest (centering and spindle rotation startup) the machine will do itself and simply enable the machining of the seat by turning the steering wheel. You won’t find such simple operation in any of the analogous and much more expensive machines – both manual and CNC! And this doesn’t require serious preparation and high operator qualifications!
The main technical solutions applied in the construction of this machine for machining valve seats are protected by patents, including Turkish patent No. 2019-GE-228828 dated 23-05-2019 “Machine control system for machining valve seats and guides” and Turkish patent No. 2019-GE-228876 dated 23-05-2019 “Seat and valve guide machining system”. These patents define the priorities of the manufacturer – Serdarlar Makine company, in the applied clamping system using a roller chain and automatic centering system.
Since 2020, the Provalve-1600 type machine has been produced in Turkey at the factory of Serdarlar Makine company in three variants:
- Provalve-1600S — Budget model with a welded steel frame, touchscreen control, and a 10-inch screen,
- Provalve-1600SE — Basic model with a completely cast iron frame, touchscreen control, and a 12-inch screen,
- Provalve-1600SL — More efficient model with a completely cast iron frame of greater width and height, touchscreen control, and a 12-inch screen, as well as a more powerful spindle with greater stroke.
*- The word “completely” emphasizes the difference between competitive machines, where often the construction with cast iron is only the upper part of the frame, while the lower part is welded from steel.
Distinctive features of the Provalve-1600 lathe:
- Universal, reliable, and safe machine with very high precision and machining speed.
- Allows mechanical processing of valve guides with a diameter from 3.5 mm and valve seats with a diameter from 16 to 120 mm.
- Exceptionally rigid, stable, and precise construction, cast iron frame with monolithic housing (models 1600SE and 1600SL) or welded steel frame subjected to aging to eliminate deformations (model 1600S).
- Highest precision for all types of seats of all types of cylinder heads, from motorcycles to the heaviest industrial engines – depth of re-machining after full reinstallation of the cylinder head on a previously prepared seat – no more than 0.02 mm (verified by AB-Inżyniering).
- Spindle drive with servo motor and electronic control system, with variable speed and digital display – ensures exceptional smoothness and power (not used in competitive machines).
- Quick mounting and dismounting system of the tapered tool holder ensures solid attachment of the holder and completely eliminates (unlike competitors) any damage to it.
- Precision centering system based on spherical and flat air cushions with longitudinal and transverse movement.
- Four air cushions: the first – on the upper frame on the spindle (2 axes, longitudinal movement at 850 mm), the second – on the spindle spherical cushion with an inclination angle of up to 10°, the third – on the spindle flat cushion with longitudinal and transverse movement of 10 mm, the fourth – on the table on the lower part of the frame (2 axes, longitudinal movement at 760 mm).
- During centering, 3 cushions are in operation – the table cushion with two spindle cushions, while the cushion of the working tank is only used for preliminary setting and does not participate in the centering process. This is a fundamental difference between the machine and SERDI-type analogues, which center only on two spindle cushions.
- Automatic tool centering system: upon pressing the button 1, it sequentially turns on and off the air cushions in a specified sequence on CNC command, initiates automatic start, stops the spindle, and provides screen control (manufacturer’s know-how, absent in competitive machines).
- Reliable patented clamping of the machine spindle’s work tank using a double pneumatic lever.
- Universal 130° angle holding device for all types of cylinder head blocks and holding device for flat block heads.
- Full-value machine table on an air cushion with a cross travel of 200 mm and longitudinal travel of 760 mm, with a bottom stand holder using vacuum and parallel cushions ensuring cylinder head processing without the need for repositioning, maximum distance between extreme valves up to 1610 mm.
- The flat air cushion of the table contributes to precise centering, increases machining accuracy, and reduces spindle load (not used in competitive machines).
- Protective corrugated sleeves from the upper stand (not used in competitive machines) eliminate wear throughout the machine’s operational life.
- Electronic spindle stroke limiter with adjustable settings for periodic repeatable tasks.
- 12″ touchscreen (models 1600SE and 1600SL) or 10″ (model 1600S) with touch support, cylinder head data library, and database recording of all operations.
- Possibility of updating data and control program both via the Internet and USB port (models 1600S and 1600SL).
- Integrated neon lighting on the machine stand and LED lamp for local illumination of the spindle’s work zone.
- Oddzielna pompa próżniowa (nie stosowana w maszynach konkurencyjnych) eliminuje wpływ doprowadzenia powietrza na działanie zacisków próżniowych i testerów próżniowych (od 2020 r. – 2 oddzielne pompy próżniowe na zaciski i tester próżniowy dla większej dokładności). - Tester próżniowy, filtr powietrza z olejarką, szlifierka do narzędzi ze wstawkami z twardego metalu i skrzynka narzędziowa są zintegrowane w konstrukcji maszyny.
- Wysokiej jakości malowanie w kolorach według wyboru klienta (standardowe kolory – czerwony RAL 3000 i szary RAL 7011).
KONSTRUKCJA MASZYNY PROVALVE-1600
Stability and precision of the machine are ensured by completely cast base, which has the highest rigidity. The air filter is equipped with a greaser for supplying a very small, metered amount of oil to the pneumatic system of the machine. |
